Instead of a restaurant settings, this place reminds of a banquet hall. Place is enormous, no coziness, waiters are relatively inadequate in knowledge of serving food. Food is average. Not spectacular, decor reminds of medieval times. Cleanliness could be improved, but the food is super fast.
The food was ok but definitely not authentic food. I don't think I can expect authentic south Indian food abroad. But this is definitely an option when you crave south Indian food. The south Indian thali that I ordered didn't have the poriyal and the vatha kolambu and sambar were little sweet for me.The one thing I didn't like is the utensils are not very clean. :)
Food was great, nice customer experience, masala dosa was awesome.
Did not get what I ordered and expected by there employe. Just sorry for the mistake made by there side, not a discount on the order. I didn't request any free food for this and just requested to prepare the uttapam should look like as utpam.
It's an Indian restaurant 40-50mins away from LA towards San Diego. We stopped by at this place as one of our friend recommended. Trust me food was tasty and authentic. Post it was our regular stop whenever we visit LA
I loved the snacks and coffee..it was very short but I like it..
Good place for a quick tea and snacks. We ordered some samosas, whose stuffings were a bit stale. They took it off the bill when we told them.
They have very good menu. So many options and it is a local favorite for vegetarians. I love the coffee that they serve which is in the authentic south Indian style. It's always crowded here. I have visited a lot many times and there is always a complaint of fluctuation of quality. Some days the taste is too bad. When the house is full, there's a poor management of orders. Often the waiter forgets some of items in order. There is very little parking space.
From the moment you come to that restaurant they give you a nice feeling. Very comfortable team, it is a kind place to to go out with friends or with your date. tasty meals, creative chief cook and stuff, comfortable cost and courteous service. Warmly recommended.
There are variety of food from appetizers to main course and sweets!
Very nice vegetarian restaurant. Food is awesome. Specialized in South Indian food especially in Dosas. But Indian Chinese is also pretty good. Kothu Paratha is one of the fav.
Great Vegi options. And quick heads up if an item is listed as Spicy..... believe them it's SPICY!
If you are looking for authentic south Indian cuisine then this is the place. Variety of dosas, Meals, and other south Indian items. If its your first time with south Indian food please try Set Tiffins. You get to taste all south Indian items.
Best authentic Indian cuisine that I've had in Southern California.
From the moment you step in that place they give you an enjoyable feeling. Very warm waiters, it is a good place to pass time with friends or with your date. heavenly food, creative chef de cuisine, competitive cost and professional service. Highly recommended.
Fantastic South Indian eatery. Fond memories of eating here several times since 2011. Their sambar vada is the best and a must eat item every visit.
Andhra Thali is awesome. 2 items server is cold in cup but it will be good it if server hot
One of the best vegetarian and authentic Indian food in the town. South Indian spicy thali is my all time favourite. We really liked the ambience there. All you can eat, mini tiffan was served with a coffee, the taste & aroma reminded us of our home town coffee stall.
This was my first introduction to Indian Food and I cannot recommend this place enough. The amount of food to the quality and taste of it is amazing. Highly recommend you try it!
Good service and genuine Indian taste
Like the Bhima Thali, dosas and fried rice.
Fast friendly service
I stopped here on our way to Santa Barbara to experience Andhra food and also to take a break from the traffic! I've never had Andhra food before and my boyfriend likes it so we chose Bhima's based on the ratings in the area. Big place. it was full when we got there at 7pm on a Friday evening and within 15 mins of being there, it was packed!!Now they have the usual South Indian fare (dosas), indo-chinese and some north Indian things. We chose the spicy Andhra thalis because that's what we came for. Thali was pretty packed. And it's all you can eat but so filling I couldn't finish the first helping. It was spicy but not as hot and spicy as I expected. Very rice predominant, which is a southern thing and not my preference. I prefer chappatis and really enjoyed all the different veggies with the chappati. Filter coffee was ok but the bf thought the milk was a little stale.Decent price. We are so full, I was uncomfortable until the next morning!
The food is always great 👍 the lunch buffet is good as well. There are variety of food from appetizers to main course and sweets.I always liked their chicken biryani and chilly chicken. Gulab jamoon is good but bit sweet. Must visit
Amazing! Will travel for their thali!!! <3
Fairly good options for veg food with dosa varieties and snacks. They also serve indo Chinese cuisine which is closest to the indian street food with manchurian dishes. Parking space within the building area available.
I have been here twice. Both times I had 'thali' combos. I love their vegetarian dishes. Unlike other place, each dish has unique spice profile and they actually taste different. Love their chai! Delicious all around. Service can be a little slow certain times of the day, but I don't mind since i like to enjoy my meal in a relaxed state and not feel like i am being rushed to leave, or interrupted too many times in between conversations.
Food was delicious and served quick. They do have natural coconut water on the menu. Will definitely recommend it.
This is my go to place whenever I feel like eating a good South Indian meal . Their Thalis are the best and my personal favorite . The guys working there are friendly and keep refilling my sambar when the bowl is half empty :-) I love the dosas and pesarattu , upma is a must try . I love how they keep the quality and taste of the food so consistent after all these years .
Excellent food, feel home made, Talli are great and service is good. Would love to go again.
Nice place to have a snack. Very quick service and food tastes good. Could improve on hygiene though
This place was great! Everything we tried was delicious and the staff was very friendly as well. Would definitely recommend it.
This spot is good! Convenient rates, large portions and the staff are consistently very friendly.
Took me right back to when I visited bhimas in Bangalore many years ago. Got the Andhra spicy thali and there was so much good food I was in a food coma after the meal. The rasam was delicious with a slight kick and the sambhar was fantastic (arachu vutta) with blended coconut for taste. Overall their South India food was spot on. Some of the best value I've seen for Indian food in and around LA county. They also outperformed with a Karnataka delicacy, the bisi bele bath which was soupy in it's consistency like it's supposed to be. Will be going back again soon.
I used to go at this restaurant a lot but now i go to other restaurants in that area because customer service is so bad that after serving the order they even don't look at you & if you need anything they don't care.
I admire this spot! They prepare superb dishes, they have a rich menu, The chef in that spot is very trained, I enjoy very much tasting all their food. The food is always of high class, the attitude towards the customers is very good too. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. I recommend this place.
last night was the first time we went to this excellent restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the efficient service, with the exceptional food and fine drinks and with the decent pay. We will absolutely visit there in a short time.
Great place for authentic Indian food, had bisibele bath which was just delicious! Their Andhra spicy thali was really tasty as well. Value for money and great food!
Bhimas is absolutely great south Indian food! They have a separate restaurant for vegetarians and non Vegetarians.the servings are huge and definitely value for money! The different varieties of dosas is something everyone should try!!
The best place for South Indian food. Don't miss their amazing unlimited thalis
Great vegan food. Authentic Indian food.
Good Quality authentic south Indian food! Luv it!
The authentic Andhra Cuisine here is to die for! All the dishes were very legit. Every bite of the food literally reminded me of my homeland very vividly. The pricing is also very reasonable. My only regret is not having more branches for this restaurant in other cities. Thank you Bhimas!
Very good Vegetarian Restaurant. Very good south indian tasty foods. Healthy food. Service is okay.
Most of it is really good! I really enjoyed the Schezwan Noodles and Dosa but the curd and rice wasn't that great.
Really good South Indian Food. The Idli, Vada Sambhar and Uthappam are out of the world. Great and courteous service.
very good vegetarian indian food!
You love to go to a place if you were treated properly. I visited this place for the first time I don't know the name of this old man but he was the best at his job. The way he took the order and they way he talked to us was awesome. I will visit this place just to get the hospitality that they have showed us.Coming to the food it was really good. We ordered Thalis after a long walk from Disneyland . I suggest anyone to visit this place for a good vegetarian meal you will love it.
Excellent food. The dosa was HUGE! It was literally close to 1 1/2 feet across. I had the paneer dosa with the onion pakora and could not have been more satisfied. We did have to wait some time for the check.
Been here multiple times and tried multiple items. Dosa’s never let me down. However the Papad’s in their thali offerings were Soft and not at all crunchy & Roti is a sure let down. I love their onion uttapam too.
